Changing your lifestyle is one of the best tactics for treating diabetes.  Many medical textbooks often list diet and exercise as being the first step in the treatment of type 2 diabetes.  Exercise is important because it helps reduce blood-glucose levels and makes insulin work better.  It also helps people lose weight faster and maintain the lower weight.  It can also help prevent the development of type 2 diabetes in those who are at high risk.

The Diabetic Exercise Program is a 24-week coaching program that focuses on gradually increasing activity and cardiovascular workouts, as well as self-monitoring blood glucose levels before and after exercise. You will have the flexibility of working out on your own time without worrying about missing appointments, because each weekly coaching session is done over the phone.  You and your coach will set daily and weekly goals for you to achieve and discuss those accomplishments each week.  

You will also learn about Balanced Eating and how it can help you control your glucose levels throughout the day, keep you from highs and lows, and help you maintain a comfortable weight.

You will be required to receive your physician's approval before beginning this program.  Your coach will also send periodic reports to your physician discussing your progress.

This programs involves individual coaching session which will vary in frequency throughout the program.  You will begin with weekly sessions, then bi-weekly sessions, and then finally tri-weekly sessions to help you transition into a lifestyle that you can sustain long term.

The total price of this program is $1800.  We do have a monthly payment plan option.
